Not every driving scenario is the same, but each situation gives us a new opportunity to shift our minds and to feel more present, more aware and more joy. That was the mentality Jay Shetty brought to this project and what we tried to emulate in the edit. BMW wanted to emphasize the i5's different driving modes like 'sport' & 'immersive' which change everything from the internal colors of the car to the sounds emitted from the engine. Sound design was extremely important here, the goal being to emulate immersive spaces and drive the piece forward.

Details

I worked on a dozen VFX elements as well, everything from sky replacesment, object removal, to face replacement. Additionally, I put together the opening shot, where the charging station is in view. This was crafted from scratch, placing a model in a 3d environment and matching the materials, lighting, camera movement & a dash of rotoscoping to create a seamless shot.
