Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin is home to Fincantieri Shipyard, home to engineers, technicians, and an army of experts who repair and build some of the largest boats on earth. They do all this 365 days a year, rain or shine, light snow or blizzard. When we went to talk to them, a storm blew in lowering temperatures to nearly -50℉. These workers include former astronauts, kind souls, jokers, and a whole team of people who love what they do.
At the time, it was so cold that we had to have two sets of cameras, one for indoors and one for outdoors, because the drastic change in temperature would cause so much condensation within the electronics it could fry our sensors. We set up timelapses on cranes, climbed towers, flew drones and followed folks through 6 feet of snow. Had to take cameras inside, set up gopros flew drones
