We worked to craft a tight connection between soccer and driving, building around this dual nature. The goal was to establish a clear connection between how Cobi Jones, Two Time MLS Cup Champion, handled the ball in his playing days and the way Continental tires handle in any condition.
The biggest challenge was connecting the archival footage of soccer (shot on location in the reflections of the car as well as full screen footage) to the action of him driving on a virtual stage. I was able to use quick, fast cuts to keep the action moving and designed the soundscape to interplay between the sounds of the road, the car, the crowd, and the announcer.
