When I first told my stepdad, a general contractor, that I was working with CAT Footwear; he ran into the basement and pulled out an old pair of CAT boots and set them on the table. "I've had these for 15 years," he said, "the best boots I've ever worn." CAT makes incredible, long lasting products and when they approached us to help them show off just how light one of their oldest types of boot is, we took it quite literally.
We did weeks of experimenting and testing to figure out how to make our actor float successfully. From super slow motion, to compositing multiple layers, to simple tricks of the camera; we used it all to achieve the effect. Our talent really showed off just how strong he is by being able to hold onto a metal bar for most of the day-big shouts out to Anthony.
